EPC is situated within Easingwold, York, North Yorkshire. The College is operated for, and on behalf of the UK Government, delivering crisis management, resilience training and allied services, all subject to our well established Government assurance of quality. It is a modern training facility with a lecture theatre, 14 training rooms and a 102 bed hotel, set within 200 acres of mixed park and woodland that make up the publicly-owned Hawkhills Estate.

Since 2021, the College has been the first, and currently most northern Campus for Government Skills and Curriculum Unit (GSCU). The in-house Resilience team and strong cadre of EPC associate trainers include deep subject-matter-experts and resilience practitioners with current emergency management experience. Post COVID, the College has established itself as a leader in virtual delivery, is playing a central role in major resilience programmes, striking new partnerships, pursuing accreditation, supporting professional development and looking to support all learning and development requirements for our resilience customers.

Owned by the Cabinet Office

As the Government’s trusted provider of training, exercising and advisory services in all resilience disciplines, we also support the development of UK national doctrine, guidance and standards through the identification and promotion of good practice, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Serco manages the EPC for and on behalf of the Cabinet Office Resilience Directorate, the national authority for resilience and civil protection.
