Bradford City Stadium Fire
A fire occurred underneath a wooden stand, believed to have started from an ignited pile of litter, at Bradford City Stadium during a football match. Within minutes the stand was quickly engulfed in flames and spectators of the match struggled to escape as doors and turnstiles had been locked. This led to the deaths of 56 people and many more were injured.
