The EPC worked with a national flag carrier airline to enhance resilience by developing and delivering a business continuity (BC) management knowledge transfer programme.
We conducted an independent gap analysis of the company’s business continuity capabilities, followed by the delivery of an initial business continuity management system complementing the organisation’s existing framework.
This was a two phased project which involved the initial evaluation of the airline’s existing level of BC maturity referencing ISO 22301 and the BCI Good Practice Guidelines (2013). The second phase required a project to:
- Implement Business Continuity governance within the organisation
- Deliver foundation level training to staff
- Mentor staff in the development of analyses and plans including the design of a system to assure continuity of critical suppliers
- Validate arrangements using a range of exercise techniques
