There’s a lot of models about on this theme, and some are very richly layered indeed!

We like this one because it says what it needs to say but does so quite economically. It also embeds the Joint Decision Model and the Critical Thinking Framework in the overall information process, joining up conceptually the work of the information managers and the decision-makers, but giving both a common form of critical thinking check mechanism.
