Los Alfaques Disaster
The Los Alfaques disaster was a tanker explosion in Alcanar, near Tarragona, in Spain. The tanker stopped outside a tourist campsite, where it began leaking its highly flammable propylene. A short while later the propylene was ignited and resulted in a huge explosion that killed 217 and injured over 200. The explosion resulted in massive destruction on the surrounding campsite and caused many secondary explosions from cars and gas cylinders etc.
