During a celebrated police career, the former Gold Commander gained experience in planning and responding to threat and risk. Having had national accreditation, Sue is skilled at developing multi-agency approaches to improve joint-decision making.
With a 30-year career in policing, Sue has a wealth of skills, knowledge and experience. A trained, accredited and experienced Gold Strategic Commander for 15 years, she also spent seven years as a Tactical Commander.
Sue commanded numerous firearms, public order and other critical incident responses to threat and risk, and worked regularly within multi-agency strategic command. She was deployed nationally over several years by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary to provide audit and inspection and peer support to forces, commanders and partners. She works with local resilience forum strategic partners on preparedness for the ‘predictable’, command and decision making for the ‘unpredictable’ and building the confidence and skills to lead during a crisis.
Sue loves rural and coastal environments, spending time with her family and if time allows indulging in her passions for traditional jazz, crafts, hill walking and volunteering.
