Lessons from Disasters: New Ways to Learn

24/05/2017

Dr Michael Eburn is one of Australia’s top disaster management experts and a friend of the Emergency Planning College.  He visited us on the 17th of May to give one of our open public lectures.  The title was Lessons from Disasters: New Ways to Learn.

It was a great talk, with a wealth of personal insight and a compelling argument for the introduction of more restorative practices into the way we examine the community’s experience of disasters and identify the lessons.

If that intrigues you, the video recording of Michael’s lecture is now available to view below.

For technical reasons we can’t include the Q & A session – which was extremely interesting in itself.  But you can see the main text of the talk.

Thank you also to those came to the event in person – and please check the college website for details of the next one.
