About the Connected Learning Suite (CLS)
The EPC is branching out into the digital realm, combining pre-course e-learning with a state-of-the-art interactive video training facility - the Connected Learning Suite (CLS). Using the CLS room, facilitators can deliver face to face training or consultation sessions remotely, interacting with attendees using webcams and the cloud-based remote system. They can discuss, challenge and debate or host face to face meetings, seminars and consultations with up to 64 attendees at a time.
How it Works
Unlike most digital or remote learning, the CLS allows attendees to interact with the facilitator and with each other. A specialist cloud-based system allows attendees to switch views at will; answer polls and pose questions; engage in small group discussions; and interact on a shared whiteboard. The built-in chat function and ‘ask the host’ options let attendees pose specific, silent questions without interrupting the speaker.
Attendees only need a webcam, good internet access and must use Chrome or Safari as their browser. Wired headphones and a microphone are recommended to reduce background noise and improve sound.
- Time – remote working with no travelling time or costs.
