About this course

Overview

Take a journey through the four main principles of recovery management: humanitarian, financial, environmental and infrastructural, over this one-day course.   

The course is a great introduction to recovery management for anyone who has a part to play in the four principles, and, given the diversity of the areas, it appeals to a vast array of individuals. 

Covering the main aspects of recovery, the training considers how you begin the recovery process, working towards a new normality from the standpoint of ‘building back better’.

Led by our experienced and insightful trainers, this course provides an ideal opportunity for you to learn leading practice in recovery, explore the challenges and potential solutions to enable effective recovery, and look at real world scenarios to develop your recovery planning knowledge.

To enable organisations to plan for and activate the recovery phase of an emergency.

  • To introduce delegates to the key principles of recovery management
  • Describe the response and recovery phases of an emergency, set within a multi-agency context
  • Outline the role of the Recovery Co-ordinating Group
  • To introduce delegates to key recovery tools including community impact analysis, setting objectives, milestones and action plans
  • Outline key considerations relating to the four pillars of recovery
