Kate has worked within the resilience and continuity environment for over 10 years and she has provided services to both private and public sector agencies at a national, regional and local levels. Prior to this she worked for the Small Business Service as a detached community and youth worker.
Her current areas of practise include: supporting people after emergencies, developing resilient communities; community impact and emergencies; business continuity; training and exercise development
Her current areas of academic research include: communities, complexity and emergencies; the impact of stories on emergency management; operationalization of resilience; development and testing of future resilience scenarios
She is a qualified Lead Auditor for BS25999 and is due to complete her PhD in July 2014.
