With a strong track record of success within the public sector and high hazard industry, David has delivered a range of complex strategic and tactical challenges in a wide remit of civil protection. His experience encompasses working with nuclear sites and other high hazard areas, to promote preparedness, business and project management, culture change, continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.

David is renowned for leading by example and is credited as one of the leading figures in his field. He is a recognised champion of delivery and influence having set and delivered high and sustainable standards in a myriad of challenging environments. David’s current role is Senior Local Authority Manager in community safety and emergency management.

When it comes to emergency and crisis management skills, David feels that the most value can be found in complimenting existing management capabilities. He is motivated by helping people meet unfamiliar challenges using the qualities and capabilities that we use daily.

David’s interests include church bell ringing, a hobby that has kept him engaged for the past 30 years. He is also a keen football follower as well as a real ale lover and enjoys visiting unusual pubs across the UK, in particular London.

MSc Disaster Management, HNC Business, NEBS Management Full Certificate, Award in Education and Training (AET) Level 3
