
An expert in risk management in crowded places, Dan’s experience has been used at numerous high profile events. His knowledge and understanding of crowd safety, health and safety, security and counter terrorism is in demand with clients throughout the UK and internationally.
Dan has gained an extensive range of experience in safety and security, which has been developed through a career that has included roles such as Police Officer, Crowd Manager and Head of Operations. Dan has advised and worked on high profile events such as London 2012 Olympics, many top level UK sporting fixtures and numerous other large events.
He brings vast experience into the classroom, as well as directly to organisations. In addition to delivering safe events, he also assesses and mentors Safety Officers working towards their Level 4 Diplomas in Spectator Safety Management. Dan currently holds an extensive portfolio of UK and International clients, predominantly delivering crowd safety, health and safety, security and counter terrorism services.
Time is an important factor for Dan, as he believes that every moment spent with a client should be focused on providing excellence and industry leading levels of quality. He also believes in considering the real impact on an organisation when applying industry practice.
Dan has a passion for animal welfare, in particular donkeys, sponsoring 11 of them. He enjoys travelling, escaping with no phone and just a rucksack to explore. Dan has been married for almost 30-years and his other love is cricket.
